Service Terms

Service Terms and Conditions

Rest assured, your satisfaction is our first priority. In fact, we treat your laundry as if it were our own, however we still need to agree to some rules to ensure that there are no misunderstandings about Washie's (referred to as "we", "us", "our", or "Washie") or your obligations. By using our service, you acknowledge and accept the following Terms and Conditions.

Wash-and-Fold Laundry Terms

Suitability for Laundering

By using our service, you agree that your garments (referred to "clothes", "clothing" or "garment")  are suitable to be washed in water, on a normal cycle, and dried using heat in a tumble dryer. We cannot be responsible for any damage to garment that is not suitable for this standard laundering process. Similarly, we reserve the right to refuse to service items that we feel will be hazardous to our staff, such as items heavily soiled with human or animal waste. This is for the health and safety of our team.

 
Damaged Laundry

We will do everything we can to avoid damaging your laundry. Unfortunately, there are limitations to what we can do. For example, we don't have time to check your pockets to see if you have left anything in them. Therefore, we can't be held responsible if something left in your laundry (like lipstick, chewing gum, or a pen) causes any damage. Similarly, if you call and tell Washie that you left your favorite bracelet, or anything else, in your pocket, we can’t guarantee that we will find or return it.

 

All laundering processes, regardless of how gentle, cause normal wear and tear on garments. As a result, we cannot be responsible for any wear and tear of laundry, including loss of buttons, fading, fatiguing, holes, or abrasions. Similarly, we reserve the right to decline cleaning any particular piece of laundry if we think it will lead to trouble.

 

Cleaning and drying laundry also creates other risks. We do not individually examine every garment prior to placing it in the laundry. Therefore, if something is "dry-clean only," or otherwise unsuitable for common washing and drying techniques, please do not include it in the laundry you give to Washie.

Lost Laundry

We would love to be able to inventory every piece of laundry you give us. Unfortunately, it is cost-prohibitive for Washie to do so. As a result we can't be held responsible for any lost laundry; we simply have no efficient way of verifying that we actually received any particular piece of laundry in the first place.

 

Rest assured though, we carefully track your garments. For instance, we tag all our bundles with your name, and your garments are never loose in our facility unless they’re inside a machine, on the folding table, or in their own laundry cart waiting to be folded.

 

If you do believe you are missing something from your delivery, please notify Washie within 24 hours of receiving your garments — we are much more likely to find misplaced laundry if it is reported early.

Dry Cleaning Terms

Washie will inventory all dry-cleaning items once they arrive at the facility to be cleaned. This inventory is final, and we will track your items carefully to return them to you. However, in the event of loss or damage of dry-cleaned items, we will issue you a refund and/or credit for the value of that garment after considering the average life of the garment, depreciation for the age of the garment, and the current replacement cost. Washie may, in our sole discretion, choose to reimburse the customer in these events by Washie's cash coupon. The maximum reimbursement amount will be 10 times the charge per article.

Minimum Charge

Our minimum charge is HK$350.

Washie accepts no liability for any shrinking or damage or color-fading or deforming or discoloring etc.. due to reason or arising out of any defects or bad quality of the clothing or bags being worn-out by usage or cleaned under normal cleaning procedures.

Washie liability shall be limited to the loss of or physical damage to the clothing or bags in an amount not to exceed ten times for charge per article paid by customer.

 

Washie does not guarantee removal of all stains and hard stains on the clothing or bags.

 

Washie reserves the right to refuse cleaning of any clothing or bags.

 

Washie accepts no liability for any loss or damage to the clothing or bags caused by moth, insect, mold, Act of God, civil commotion, war, fire or any accident whatsoever.

Washie accepts no liability for loss of or damage to any personal or non-cleanable items left in the clothing or bags.

Washie do not count to the cloths of "All You Can Wash" by every piece of laundry you give us, Washie cannot be held responsible for any lost laundry. We simple have no efficient way of verifying that we actually received any particular piece of laundry in the first place.

"All You Can Wash" services are not included the hanger, iron, remove stain so on, just provide the simple wash and fold, Washie reserves the right to change the terms and conditions without prior notice. 

Clothing or bags are not collected within three months from the date of invoice, we may, without giving any prior notice, sell it either by public auction or by private sale, and proceeds first in payment of all expenses of the sale and then of the charges due for and any balance shall be refunded to the customer on presenting the bill. Washie accepts no liability for any involuntary loss and occasioned by such sale.

Customer shall be deemed to have approved of the clothing or bags on delivery and must notify customer services of Washie within 3 working days if any questions, thereafter shall be deemed to have accepted the clothing and bags in all respects, no claim whatsoever shall be entertained after customer has obtain the items, or for any loss enrooted after collection from the Washie.

Washie reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of services without notice. In case of any disputes, Washie reserves the right of final decision.
